Can this feature be disabled to save disk space and resources?

Is it possible to set a maximum number of previous versions? I really like this feature, but I don't see a good way to customize it.

It's like Time Machine only fuglier. That's not necessarily a bad thing though.

I ve been using vista beta for a while now and find this feture quite usefull.

Previous versions can be activated for a partition or disk. You can also disable this feature for a partition if you do not want because of storage limitations. This feature is nice to be used by home users. A similar one Shadow Copies is used on Win2k3 servers.
