    Minor Aero restore/minimize bug

    Hello :)

I think I've noticed a bug in Aero... Let's see if I can explain steps to reproduce:

    1. Open up a few (like 3 or more at least) windows to get a few entries into the task bar.
    2. With one of the windows maximized, try restoring/minimizing another by clicking repeatedly on its task bar button.
    3. Often here, I see the Aero "zoom" effect only occuring on the restoring animation, not the minimize animation.

I've later found out that it's because the window I'm minimizing this way (by clicking on an open window's task bar entry) actually "falls behind" windows above it in the "z-order" *before* it's minimized. So if another window is maximized, you don't see the effect at all.

The same thing can sometimes happen to windows minimized by their actual title bar buttons too. It only seem to happen on minimizing them, never really when restoring them. I can reproduce this right now for example with a maximized Firefox 2.0 window and minimizing an Explorer folder window. I have additionally a Chatzilla window in the task bar, and that one doesn't exhibit the incorrect behavior that the Explorer folder does, so once the bug is in effect, it seems it doesn't need to happen with all windows. Strange.

Has anyone else than me seen this? It's no biggie of course, but just a bit annoying because it's inconsistent. :) If people don't see at all what I mean, I could probably easily compose a video of it in action as it happens fairly often. I'm on a Geforce 6600GT 128 MB on the currently latest nVidia ForceWare drivers.
